 A push to test valve, also known as a push-button valve or a test and drain valve, is a type of valve commonly used in various fluid systems, including  gas, and air systems.  Here's how a typical push to test valve works:


1. Valve Design: A push to test valve typically consists of a body, a sealing mechanism (such as a rubber gasket or an O-ring), a push-button, and an internal mechanism that regulates the flow of the fluid. The valve is designed to be installed inline within the Gas system.


2. Default Position: Closed: In its default position, the push to test valve is in the closed state. The internal mechanism seals the fluid flow path, preventing the fluid from passing through the valve.

3. Push to Test Feature: To initiate a test  the Pressure in Gauge the operator simply pushes the button on the valve. This action compresses the internal mechanism, which temporarily opens the valve's fluid flow path. As a result, the fluid is allowed to flow through the valve.


4. Test or Drain Fluid Flow: When the valve is pushed, the fluid (gas, water, or air) flows through the valve and filled in Bourdon tube. This allows the operator to test the functionality of the system on return of spindle flued  will drain in atmosphere & show no pressure on Pressure gauge.


5. Release and Return to Closed Position: Once the operator releases the push-button, the internal mechanism returns to its original position due to the force of a Spring. As a result, the fluid flow path is sealed again, and the valve returns to its default closed position.


6. Safety Features: Push to test valves often come with safety features to prevent accidental activation or tampering. Some valves may require a certain level of force to push the button, ensuring that the valve is not activated unintentionally.

7. Applications: Push to test valves are commonly used  in Gas Systems, Gas Trains where low pressure Gauge is Installed.
